About Me

Hi, my name is Xiang (Charlie) Cheng, a fourth year undergraduate student from Renmin University. I will be joining the University of Maryland, Robert H. Smith School of Business, for doctoral studies in Information Systems in Fall 2024. I was a visiting student at New York University in Fall 2023.

My research interests primarily focus on the economic and societal impacts of artificial intelligence technologies, especially generative AI, leveraging multiple methods (causal inference, structural modelling, machine learning, etc.).
